The net profit, earned by Messrs. Common, Shelton and Company, Limited, during the year ended June 30, according to the annual report, just released, was greater than the previous year by £1236, and totalled £3554. The amount available for distribution, £4248, was £775 greater than the previous year. The divider ! of 5 per cent recommended is at the same rate as last year, and the £2003 allocated for the reserve is double the amount used for this purpose fast year. The reserve account a year ago stood at £9479, and the addition of a further £2OOO this year is in pursuance of the directors’ policy of building up a strong reserve fund. The carry-forward this year of £467 was over £2OO smaller than last year.
