COMMITTEES CONFER TENT-BOOK CONTRACT (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The third annual conference of the Dominion Federation, of School Committee Associations concluded this morning with the adoption of a large variety of remits pertaining to education in the Dominion. Air. W. G. Black, Alnna-watu-Oroua, was elected president. One remit- passed advocated the synchronisation of vacations in town with the country.

Another remit, which was made one of urgency, was that before the expiry of the contracts for school text books in 1937, the 'Government should completely revise the subject, matter, that the Government should own tile "Copyright, and that contracts should be let only after open lenders arc advertised.

Tt was resolved to hold the next coil fercnce at New Plymouth.
