ROCKEFELLER’S RULES

Air. John D. Rockefeller, the oil millionaire. whose great ambition is to live to be 100, was 97 to-day. He celebrated his birthday at his home at Lakewood, New Jersey, by eating a slice of a huge cake made by his Swedish cook and decorated with 97 candles. Mr. Rockefeller is said to have made numerous bets in golf balls—though he is no longer able to play golf—on his chances of celebrating his centenary. Some oS his golden rules are : Never lose interest in the outside world; Eat sparingly and regularly: Take exercise: Sleep a great deal; Never get annoyed about anything ; Follow a regular daily programme of activities; Get plenty of sunshine; Drink milk freely; Consult a. doctor often.
i\lr. Rockefeller, who has given up going to church on Sundays., always listens attentively to the wireless sermons.
