NUHAKA NEWS

(Horald Correspondent.) There appears to be an epidemic of influenza in Nuhaka. Whole families are down with it, at one time both pakeha and Maori alike. The attendance at the schools has suffered considerably. Although only a mild form, it attacks one suddenly. Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Hughes, who have been on holiday in the south, spent a few days with their son, Mr. D. Hughes, and Mrs. Hughes before returning home. Lambing is in full swing, and an exceptionally good tally is being recorded. With the beautifully fine days and warm nights very little trouble is being experienced. Dairymen are now getting info their stride with cows calving every day. There is every indication of a good season.
