Two further social evenings open to ex-servicemen, their families and guests are to lie organised this season under the auspices of the Gisborne R.S.A., according to decisions made at a meeting of the social committee last evening. One gathering is to he held next month and the second, which will he the wind-up of the season, is to he held in the City Hall during October. In addition, a subcommittee was appointed last evening to draw up an attractive -programme of varied entertainment for one of the popular “Diggers’” “free and easy” socials to be held early in September.
