IMPRISONED IN BOX

MISSING- BOY FOUND

MELBOURNE, Aug. 7.

John Walker, aged 0, for whom search parties scoured the countryside all last night, was found to-day imprisoned, in a large box in an unr occupied house at, Somerville. Apparently the boy climbed into the box, which then toppled over, so that its open top came against the wall, and completely imprisoned him. _ When the bov, who is a pupil at the Somerville school, failed to return homo last night, lii.s parents (Mr. and Mrs. Noel Walker, of Baxter), became concerned for his safety, and at 0.30 p.m. a party, in charge of First Constable Perkins, of Hastings, began a search. About noon to-day one of the searchers entered the unoccupied house, and found the boy in the box. He had been without food for 24 hours, and was so overwrought that he could give no explanation of the mishap.
