RUGBY LEAGUE CONVERT BRODRICK JOINS MANUKAU g forward of the Maori All Blacks who toured in AustraliaTast year, Jack Brodrick, arrived in Auckland last week to play for the Manukau Rugby League Club. Just turned 23 years of age and weighing 14st., this 6ft. player won a reputation across the Tasman as a determined and fast type of forward. Brodrick was born at Ruatoki North, in the Bay of Plenty, and played in the Whakataiie High School first fifteen. For a time he was in the R'angitaiki district between Whakatanc and Tc Puke, but returned to the Bay ol Plenty, which district he represented in 1933-34-35 before being selected to join the team led by George Nepia in AdatraJig.
Being speedy and a good handler, ho .may bo tried out as a three-quarter by the Manukau club.
