VALUABLE MINIATURES
GEM-STUDDED FRAMES MELBOURNE, July 1. Twelve miniatures from the collection of Mr. J. Pierpont Morgan, which have been on view at the National Art Gallery, Melbourne, for 12 months, will soon become doubly valuable as a result of a casual visit to the'gallery of a jewel expert, who noticed that the frames are studded with genuine pearls and diamonds worth probably as much as'the minatures, originally costing £3250, wdien purchased by the Felton Bequest.
