Under the will of the late Mr. Henry Playford Small, a farmer, the borough of Levin lias been appointed the sole beneficiary of one of bis properties of 20 acres, the Government valuation ol which is £l2lO, and of the revenue from another 17 acres valued at £1515 with a total mortgage of £BBO over the whole. The legacy is subject to the borough being prepared to take over and develop the 20-acr'e lot, as a motorist' camping ground, using the revenue from the 17 acres for maintenance and improvements. The gift is made with, the further conditions that, .should the borough not accept the legacy within 12 months and if after the borough having accepted the gift, the property cease to be used for the purposes of a cam]) site, tin land shall be bequeathed to the Palmerston North Hospital. Board as a benefit to the hospital.
