IRON AND STEEL OUTPUT
INCREASE IN MAY

Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, June 14. The production of pig iron in the United Kingdom in May amounted to 661,000 tons, compared with 629,800 tons in April and 558,900 tons a year ago.
The production of steel in May was 963,800 tons, against 984,200 tons in the previous month and 853,300 tons in May of 1935.
