SUDDEN DEATH

(Reed. Juno 16, noon.) SYDNEY, June 16. The death of the Rev. Father Joseph Herring has occurred. He was 53 years of age. He collapsed while taking part in a Corpus Christi procession at Manly.
He was educated at St. Patrick's College, Wellington, and was ordained by the late Archbishop Redwood in 1909. He did parish work in Wellington, Reefton, and Whangarei.

ON WAY TO ENGLAND
(Reed. June 16, 12.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 16. The Sydney Daily Telegraph says that, alter long planning for his trip to England, Mr. Arthur Johns, aged 56 years, of Highland Park, Wellington, arrived in Sydney yesterday with his wife and son on the first stage of the journey.
He died hist night in an hotel of heart failure.
