INTRUDER ESCAPES
SYDNEY, May 10. A masked man entered a pawnbroker's shop in Oxford street, Dnrlinghurst, yesterday, and when interrogated by the shopkeeper, Charles Marks, aged 64, ho attacked Mr. Marks, striking him on the head with the butt of a revolver and finally escaped, pursued by a neighbour's dog. Mr. Marks is too ill to say whether anything was stolen. Apparently robbery was the motive.
