The Supreme Court, this afternoon continued the hearing of evidence, for the defence in the re-trial of Eric MareO, aged 45, years, musician, who is cl.atged with having murdered his ,wife,. Thelma Clarice Mareo, aged 29 yeaw, by administering a hypnotic ding. The. cross-examination of Dr.- E. W. Giesen, who had given his evidence 4n chief during '.the .'morning;'; began when the court resumed. ' i Replying to the Crown Prosecitfor, Air. V. R. Meredith, the witness said he.had not been in general practice _ for. a- good many years,, but- had continued asv;a consulting physician.
