At (he Moonee Valley races, the Grand National candidate. E! Damnreyal won the Travancore Steeples in most altractive fashion in course record lime. The winner has the minimum weight in the Grand National Steeples. Results were:
Travancore Steeples.—El Damarcgal (Maher;. 1: Santa Cass, 8.6 (Regan), 2: Wanconuer, 9.13 (Douglas). 3. Thirteen starled. Won bv four lengths and 1J lengths. Time. 4.471,. Deen Creek Handicap.—.lack I Tomer. 7.10 '(Preston), 1 : Gallihrnok, 8.2 (O'Brien). ?,■ Alaric. 8.0 (Breasley), 3. Eight starled. including Greenhorn. Won bv two lengths and a length. Time. 2.'26.
Cape Race was second in the Windnri Hurdles.
Gay Brunette was unplaced in the Burno.wang Handicap.
Desert Chief was second in the Green vale Welter, in which Radiant. Star, Epigram, Palatinate and Whemside were unplaced.
