A long lifetime of service in the interests of her family and of the district in which she lived was, brought to a close with the death recently of Mrs. Lemon, widow of Mr. Samuel Lemon, of Killinchy, Canterbury. Mrs. Lemon, who was 93 years of age, was born in Garnaghey, County Tyrone, Ireland. She came to New Zealand in the ship Bluejacket, landing at Lyttelton 70 years ago, in the early days of settlement.
