PAUL Lukas, the motion picture 1 actor who play* one of the featured roles in Key Francis' new picture, "I Found Stella, Parish," is indebted to Max Ueinhnrdt for his screen debut.

The celebrated director of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" saw Lukas in a Molicre play in Budapest and invited him to appear as a guest, artist in Berlin. 'Phis led to his first screen appearance. lie played the rob' of Samson in "Samson and Delilah."

That was in 1927. long before Bernhardt had decided to devote his talents to the screen. The following year Lukas was playing the title role in "Antonio" at Budapest when he received an offer to go to Hollywood for a role in Pola Negri's "Loves of an Actress."

He has remained in Hollywood ever since and to-day is considered one of the ablest actors in motion pictures.
