LINESMAN'S COLLAPSE
STRAPPED TO POLE SYDNEY, May 26. While working ni the top of a telegraph polo near Gurrangdng railway station this afternoon, William Edward Tranter, 02, of Dobic street, Grafton, :i linesman employed by the Postal Department, collapsed and died of heart failure. His safety strap prevented his body from falling 30ft. 10 the ground. L. Dewberry, another linesman, of South Grafton, .supported the body until ho became exhausted. He then reported the occurrence to the Grafton Post Oilice by telephone. Tranter was married and had live children.
