EUCHRE PARTY & DANCE (Herald Correspondent.) Fast evening the final night, of the fortnightly euchre parlies and dances held in (lie Kaitaralahi I'ublic Hall proved very successful, there being a good attendance. The, winners in the euchre were:—> Ladies. Winner. .Mrs. Jones: runnerup, Mrs. .McLennan. Gentlemen. —Winner. Mr. W. Jones; runner-up, Mr. J\. ]'. Morris. Keen interest was taken in the. aggregate score, the players in each instance being separated by a few points. The successful players were : —Ladies. — Winner, Mrs. M. Brown; runner-up, Mrs. L. Crosswcl], Gentlemen. —Winner. Mr. K. 11. Morris; runner-up, Mr. 11. Taupav.a. The music for the dancing was provided bv Miss Lena. Ruru.

Ruin and M. Crosswell, Miss D. Gordon, postmistress at Waipaoa, is away on sick leave. During her absence Miss P. Ogden is relieving postmistress.- Mr. J. Kennedy, Waipaoa, is still an inmate,of the Cook Hospital. .His condition is reported to be satisfactory.--Mrs. Tretherway, Te Aroha, has returned home, having been the guest of Mrs. 11. Ogden. Kaitaratahi.—Miss O. Leigh, Cisbornc. was a recent guest of Mrs. W. Young, Waipaoa.—Mr. and Mrs. W. Lovelock, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. Croon, left on Monday to reside at Muriwai.—Mrs. S. Davies, Wncrenga-a-hika, is the guest of her sister, Mrs P. J. Figg, Waipaoa.
