MURIWAI NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) The Muriwai’ School Committee met on Thursday evening, there being present Messrs. J. Riddell, chairman, K. Te Hau, T. Morgan, M. Kemp, and W. Porou. Finances were discussed and arrangements made for an entertainment on Saturday evening. A tangi is being held at the Muriwai pa on account of the death of Mr. N. Hawkins. Sympathy is felt for Mrs. Hawkins in her bereavement.
Messrs. Shirley and lan Coop, Christchurch, after a tour of North Auckland, are visiting Mr. R. Coop.—-Mr. and Airs. It. Dunlop and their small daughter Jessie have, returned after a short vacation in Hawke’s Bay.
