WORK WORTH WHILE.—A view of the ground at the back of the Home of Compassion, Island Bay, Wellington, where a hill spur has been cut off and a gully filled at the rear of the main block of buddings with the spoil so obtained. The work has been done by relief workers during the past two and a-half years and it will require several months before the job is finally completed. When that time comes the Home will have a flat area of some four or five acres for building purposes.
