Owing to many of the members leaving the district the group now finds its ranks, sadly depleted, ilowevcr, tit. a meeting hold in the Parish Hall on Tuesday night, it was decided to carry on and an invitation was issued fo anvono interested to attend the meetings, which will be held id the vicarage every Wednesday at. 8.15 p.m., commencing next Wednesday.

For the honetit of those at. the meeting who were not fully conversant with the fti not ions of the W.H.A.. it was explained that these are to help the ordinary man or woman, firstly by encouraging a knowledge of great men of the past and present who have built up Ihe arts which lead to enjoyment, who have toiled at the organisation of knowledge which we call science, and many of whom have started great movements which have changed and are. changing the world; and secondly by providing a forurn of discussion in which such knowledge can come t,o life.

It, was emphasised that the W.K'.A. was a purely educational hotly, having no platform—political, economic, or religious. The mceliitg decided on a course entitled "What is Western CivilisationV” which should prove of interest to all members, and the secretary, Mr. Is.
