The Hawke’s liny fruit export season has closed with a total export of approximately 200,000 eases, roughly 160,000 eases less than was estimated as the Hawke’s Bay crop before the storm o 1 February 2. The final figures for the ex port from the district have not ye' been completed, but of the approximate total quoted, almost 80,000 cases were shipped direct from the port of Napier, the remaining 120,000 being railed to Wellington and shipped' from there..
