Zamick, has managed to catch a new slant on pictures which deal with the war against crime. Violence, intense emotional drama, spontaneous humour and romance are tightly packed in the speedy sequences of this picture which reveals the new underworld terror in America’s fight to wipe, it out . REGENT THEATRE “AH, WILDERNESS!” The highest price yet paid for the film rights of a, stage play was realised when Metro-Gold wyn-Mayor secured the rights of “Ah, Wilderness,” which commenced a season at the Regent Theatre to-day. The play, a brilliant ellort which ran for nine months at the Guild Theatre, New York, is the masterpiece of a great dramatist. Eugene O’Neill, and toward the end the suspense achieved is something to wonder at. Wallace Beery appears as Cnclc Sid, a role famous throughout America, and Lionel Barrymore, master of an emotional role, as the understanding father. Aline MacMalion and Beery provide a quantity of the best possible, humour and Erie Linden's portrayal is equal to any other juvenile actor’s best. Cecilia Barker and Spring Byinglon also have prominent roles. Not the leasi attractive feature of the film is the heaulilul photography. Also screening is the sailing on nor t,rials of the Ri.M.S. Queen Mary.

Patrons are reminded of the City Band dance to be held in the Blue Room tomorrow night. Mr. Jim Vngg’s .orchestra will play the latest dance “hits.” and the fixture promises to be a huge success. A good supper will lie provided, and the prices are very moderate.
