RECEPTION ON EVEREST
EMPIRE BROADCASTS (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, May 24. The British Broadcasting Corporation has received a telegram from Lieut. W. N. Smith, the wireless signals officer with the expedition which is at present making an assault on Mount Everest. He states that in camp No. 3, at a height of 21,500 ft., there has been good and regular reception of Empire programmes on short waves.
