Ajandcim, Lee. ami Brown, consulting engineers, who had been engaged to make a survey of the district, with a view to finding whether it, would he a payable proposition to bring the electric supply from Arapnni to llie north. '1 lie engineers estimated that the annual revenue of (lie proposed power hoard would he £30,418, and (lie expenditure £28.400. They suggested that, a loan of 9275,000 Lie raised to carry out, the scheme. It was decided to take steps, to form a power board for I lie area, and to place the proposal to raise a loan ol £275,000 before the ratepayers.
