CHARGES OF ASSAULT YOUNG WOMAN AN!) (URL LABOURER SENTENCED (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. A sentence of six months’ imprisonment on each of two charges of assault, one concerning a young woman arid the other relating to ,an eight-.vear-ohl girl, was passed to-day by Mr. .1. L. Stout, S.M., on Trevor John Ross Cameron, a labourer, aged 34 years, who pleaded guilty to ihe charges. The (erins were made cumulative. Evidence was given that Hie accused admitted following a young woman and striking her twice on the shoulder with a light slick. Later a complaint was received that a man had followed iwn young girls in the centre of the city. The accused admitted assaulting one of them.
