AITKEN BEATS UOUGHLAN (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A professional boxing bout at Pa-tea lust tiigbt ended in .the sixth round when R. Ait icon (Wellington) knocked out R. Couglilait (Palmerston North). Goughian apparently had a substantial lead on points .when the end came suddenly. first, attempt over country. The loss of Rasottli is a severe misfortune for Mr. Tl. Elworthy and his trainer, D. O’Connor.
The mishap to R. Beale means that another rider will have to be found for Jolly Beggar in the Great Northern Hurdles. Nothing definite has yet been announced, but it is probable that. D. O’Connor will have the mount.
