DEATH AT AUCKLAND CAPTAIN •). 11. ERADNEV (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Sorrow is felt on the waterfront over the news of the death, following an operation, of Captain ,J. IT. Bradney, at the age. of 83 years. In the early days of Auckland’s settlement, he plied 'rowing boats on the harbour. Fifty years ago ho founded a partnership with Mr. E. C. Linns in a si earn boat business, and the firm two years ago became Messrs. Bradney and Sons, Limited. Captain Bradney was born in Staffordshire, England. He was a member ot the Auckland Harbour Board for nine years, and was elected to Parliament by the Auckland West constituency: in 1911. He was ail enthusiastic. musician.
