STOLE SUIT OF CLOTHES

THLEF SENT TO GAOL STORY OF WEALTH (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A sentence of three months'' gaol was imposed by Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., to-day on Raymond William Mvland, aged 28 years, a baker, for the theft of a suit of clothes and a fountain pen from the room of the proprietor of a city boardinghouse. The police said that the accused had been stopping with a family jut Glen Eden, and had succeeded in convincing them that he was worth £IO,OOO, and that a prominent solicitor was handling Ins estate. He became engaged to a young women whose father was on sustenance. He told the family hint they would have an elaborate'wedding about Christmas.
