INCREASING POPULATION
WESTEAND COUNTY (Per Press Association.) . „ WELLINGTON, last night. The las: of the preliminary census for counties, boroughs, and town districts was issued on Saturday by the Govern ment Statistician. it was for Westland County, which has increased l.v :W per cent in the past 10 years. ' In 192<5, the population stood at 4303, and it is now 5535. Increased activity in gold mining, following the rise in the price of metal, accounts for part of the swollen population.
