NIGHT CLUB TRAGEDY
OWNER MURDERED RAID ON PARIS FLAT PARIS, April 7. M. Louis Leplee, owner of a fashionable Paris night club, was shot- dead this rooming in his bed at. his flat, near the* Bois de Boulogne. His murderers, •who are described ns four well-dressed young men, all under 23, left behind them two bunches of skeleton keys and a mask. The young men went to the flat, and asked the maid if tier master were alone. As soon as she had said “Yes,” they seized her, bound her legs and arms tightly and gagged her. Then they ran into M. Leplee s room and shook him awake. Leplee was shot at point-blank range with a revolver, and the murderers immediately started ransacking 11m flat. When they failed to find any money they ungagged the maid and threatened to shoot her if she did not disclose where it was hidden, She swore that there was no money in the flat. The police are searching for a man who a day 01 two ago is said to have called at M. r eplcc’s flat and demanded the sum of £3oo' within 24 hours. About £3OO was actually found in the flat by detectives this afternoon.
