CHANGES OF NAME
THE OPPOSITION PARTY REFERENCE IN HOUSE (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. An amusing example of Parliamentary sniping was given by Mr. J. A. Lee, Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Prime Minister, when initiating the discussion on the annual report of the Broadcasting Board in the House of I!epresontativ'es yesterday. Mr. Lee made play with various names by which the present Opposition party was known when it was the Government. After referring to it as the late Nationalist Government, he said that the name had been altered so much from year to year that he was prepared to be corrected if lie was wrong. Was it the Nationalist Government last year? he asked. Government members: The Coalition. Mr. Lee said that it was not a case of failing memory, but of confusion owing to bewildering changes.
