GISBORNE LAND BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Gisborno Land Board was held to-day, when (hero were present: Mr. 11. L. Primrose, Commissioner of Crown Lands, chairman, Messrs. J. 11. Heid. U. H. Wicksteed, A. G. Nolan, and 0. 0. Donovan. Applications for selection of section 1. block 1, Urulawa. Isist, S.U., 1840 acres, under the optional system, and also for section 2. block XI, Matakaoa S.D.. 3276 acres, closed on Wednesday.—ltwas decided that, both should remain open for'selection. An application from Mr, E. C. Miller for tho grazing right, on an area of 50 acres, section 8, block XIV, Waingaroruin S.D.. was granted at an annual rental of £2 10s. Messrs. Heid Brothers surrendered (.heir grazing rights on 30£ acres of sandhills fronting the Waiocka parish, and the application of Mr. D. M. Morrison for the' tenancy of this land was granted temporarily at an annual rental of £l- - request of Mr. 1-'. G. Uellerby for the cancellation of his grazing tenancy over lot 2 of section 3, block I. Motu wrst S.D.. an area of 1566 acres, was granted. Mr. George Stairs. Matawai, obtained a temporary grazing right over the property for a ' rental of £3 per month.
At- her request.. Mrs. lb McCarthy's temporary tenancy of section 216, suburbs of Gisborne. was terminated.
With regard to the disposal of section 1. block XIII, Haparapara S.D., 4250 acres, it. was resolved that the area should bo retained for climatic purposes in the meantime.
The Public Trustee applied for a- transfer in the estate- of I'lmma Bcaufoy to Ralph Beaufoy. The land comprised a total area of" 976 J acres i.u the Mot.tl survey district. The matter .was adjourned until a report could bet obtained from the field inspector.
No action was taken in connection with the disposal of 1979 acres of land comprising section 1, block VIII, Urntaw a S.U.
