WEEKLY SPORTS MEETING SUCCESSFUL FIXTUBE LAST NIGHT'S RESULTS The weekly floodlight sports meeting conducted by the Fbyerty Bay Frafessiqhal Athletic and Cycling (.Tub on the Victoria Domain last -evening was .marked by continued success. There jvas a large attendance of the public, while the programme provided a varied and interesting evening's sport. A heavy shower of rain fell at the conclusion' of .the tin hare, running and cycling events, and for a short time the officials were in doubt whether to continue, with (lie programme of wrestling. The crowd was just dispersing .when the rain stopped. The wrestling bouts resulted as follows, the contests being all of three three-minute rounds: Turnbull defeated A. Kay by one fall, which he gained in the' second round with a headlock and body press. Ivan Buseke and J. Rarnage drew after a fast boat. The heavyweight contest between Peter Awa'tore, Gisborne. and George Sopp. Wanganui. was a hard fought match, the final decision going to Sopp on points.
