BUTTER PRICES LOWER DECLINE OF 2/- PER CWT. The price for New Zealand butter, in London has declined by 2- per eivt since the opening of" 'business after the Easter holidays, and the highest quotation received to-day is 87s, equal to .just over lOd per lb, t'.o.b. Cheese lins declined by rid per cwt. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Company report to-day as follows: "Butter, 80s to S7s"; the market is quiet. Cheese, white and coloured, o2s fid to 53p; the market is quiet." The forward market is easier, according to advice received by Mr. P. !l - Hamilton, secretary of the Okitu Cooperative Dairy Company. Limited, but up to 11-]d per lb., f.0.b., for .May shipment is still available. Tins is equal to about. 96s per cwt. in Condon.
