CAR FALLS INTO GULLY

PARTY'S LUCKY RS.OAPK A party of live Invereargill visitors to Qneenstown had a luck escape from serious injury when their molor-enr somersaulted over the edge, of the r\id :it a spot between the Frankton wharf and Qneenstown. The motorists were Messrs. D. F. Lindsay and E. R. Branner and three women passengers. Mr. Brimmer was driving the car. When the vehicle went over the edge of (he road it somersaulted .about 50ft, before coming lo rest in u gully. Messrs. Lindsay and Bremuei' suffered minor injuries and the oilier passengers suffered from shock. All were tnken back to Tnvercargill and are little the worse for their accident. The car, a new one, was damaged beyond repair. The scene of tin- accident was about three-quarters of ii mile from Queeiislown, mi the main rond lo Cromwell.
