BIG POSSIBILITIES AMERICAN OPINIONS (Per Pross Association.) AUCKLAND', this day. An interesting visitor to New Zealand by the Aorangi is Mr. Mutton Warner, a special correspondent of the Chicago Herald-Tribune, who is to write articles on New Zealand for American readers. He said that America is looking to the time when, with the approach of mechanisation of industry, the people would have more leisure to travel. It was possible that the tourist trade would become the greatest industry in the world. American writers, therefore, were turning their attention more and more to aspects of travel. So far New Zealand had not had much publicity in Chicago. Mr. Warner said that America, undoubtedly was recovering from the effects oi' the depression. N T o one knew definitely how the Presidential election would go. Had Mr. fluey Cong lived to combat the issue with President Roosevelt, it was possible that a Republican candidate would have won the election.
