STRIKE AGAINST LAW
COLOMBO, Feb. 21. A general road transport strike began throughout Ceylon to-day —the eve of the general election. Drivers are protesting against a new law whereby their licenses are automatically cancelled after a tenth conviction. Island traffic is paralysed. Police have refused protection for lorry drivers as they cannot spare the men.
