TRENDS IN RUSSIA
REVIVAL OF RELIGION .MILITANT YOUTH (Elec, Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Peed. April 13, 2.«50 p.m.) LONDON, April 12. The Daily Telegraph's Moscow correspondent says that Easter Eve in the comparatively few churches left open, were crowded last night as they had not been since the anti-religion campaign began. The revival of interest in religion indicates a general slackening of the class -war methods. •Simultaneously with the tenth allunion congress, the Young Communist League opened at the Grand Palace of the Kremlin, was marked by extreme militancy. The league, which has more than 20,000.000 members, is not being gradually dissociated from politics, but its military character is being intensified. Thus far, 7,250,740 have passed tests as snipers and 1,345,304 have qualified in ami-gas work.
