LANDING PLACE FOR TRANSTASMAN SEAPLANES.—A panorama of Evans Bay from above the Patent Slipway. This is the locality suggested as the Wellington terminal of the Tasman Sea Air Service proposed by the late Sir Charles Kingsford Smith. A report placed before the Wellington Chamber of Commerce stated that efforts are being made to inaugurate a trial trans-Tasman service with seaplanes using Evans Bay as a terminal.
