ACCOUNTANT SENTENCED
THEFTS FROM COMPANY SYDNEY, March IS. Archie Frith Dnvoy. accountant, formerly an employee ol ! Dnlgety and Company, Limited, at Wagga, was sentenced on each of two charges. The sentences were made concurrent. The first charge was that ho made a false entry in a ledger, the property of Dalgcty's, indicating that £325 had been paid to Smith Bros., well knowing .«nol) was not the case. The second charge was that he stole £201), the property of Dalgcty and Company. Accused pleaded guilty. Captain Storkey (for the. Crown) said that the total .shortage was £I4BO. The Judge said that he would recommend that the sentence should be served on a prison farm. Davey had boon an employee of Dalgety's for about 20 voars.
