Deciding to reappoint the honorary stall' for another .year, the Wellington Hospital Board last night passed a motion agreeing with the view that an honorary staffing system was incompatible with the present method of hospital treatment, ami expressing the intention oj, considering ways of substituting a different method of stalling. Members considered it was unfair to expect medical men to go on giving free service. It was pointed out that young doctors to-day, like everybody else, found it hard to make a living.
