TE KARAKA NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) A most enjoyable farewell bridge party was given by Mrs. .1. G. Appleton, Te Karaka, for Col. and Mrs. C. C. Dowding. who are leaving for England next week, "the hostess received her guests wearing a. becoming frock of green malalasse. A delicious supper was served in the dining-room, which was decorated with pink Japanese anemones and asparagus fern, and other flowers. The drawing-room dcorations were artistically carried out with pink belladonna lilies and hydrangeas. Bridge was played by the following: Col. and Mrs. C. C. Dowding, Mr. and Mrs. B. .1. Holdsworth, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Holdsworth, Mr. and Mrs. 11. Scott, Mr. and Mrs Jl. Stevens. Mrs. R. D. Dymoek. Mrs. Sea iiinns; Misses V. Seamons, J. and J. Scott; Messrs L. 11. Maclean, J. Dymoek, B. Ourrie and J. Holdsworth.
