TIKITIKI SALE The st.ock sale conducted by Messrs. Dalgety ami Company at Tikitiki on Saturday attracted a large attendance of the public Amongst the buyers were representatives from the Waikato ami llawke's Bay districts. The offering comprised 1125 head of cattle and 130. J sheep. A keen sale resulted in Ihe cattle section, the range of prices being as follow :—Fighteen-month steers, i'o 3s to £6 13s; 2,',-vr steers. £7 5s to £1 15s; bullocks, £8 10s to £9 6s; 18month heifers. £4 10s to £5; 2.',-yr heifers, up lo £6 lis; good breeding cows C 6 7s to £6 14s; fat and forward cows, £5 5s lo £6. The demand for sheep also was good, fid! mouth ewes making from 15s 6d to 17s 4d. 2-th wethers to 18s 6d, and 2-th ewes, mated with Romnoy ranis, to 225. There was an entry of CO pigs, which sold as follows:—Weaners, 8s 6d to 9s: light porkers, £1 2s to £.l ss; baci •«, £1 18s to £2 7s.
