TRENTHAM, last night, With an aggregate score of 426 out of a possible 450 in his championship belt matches, W. N. Masefield (Blenheim) has a two-point lead for tiie King’s Prize, the final of which will be fired over the 900yds. range at Irenthaiu to-morrow afternoon. Second place in the King’s Fifty is occupied by ,|. E. Farley (Wanganui), with 424. D. E. Wilton (Whangarei) and F. Hiscock (Christchurch) have the next highest scores, each with 422. Sixth and seventh positions in the fifty are filled by F. H. James (Napier) and A. 11. O’Donnell (Petone), each with 421. Although the heavy rain of the previous afternoon and night had caused riflemen much anxiety as to the possibility of wet weather for to-day, the morning turned out fine., Conditions for shooting were easy, and high scores were plentiful. In the 800 and 900yds. of the Auckland match, the firing of which occupied the morning, H. R. Hunt (Suburbs), H. V. Croxton (Karori), and J. I. King (Karori), each with, 99 for the two ranges, filled first, second and third places respectively. The B grade was won by W.' Corlett (Blenheim), with 97, . , . . The Trentham aggregate, which is awarded for the highest scores in the Canterbury, Wellington, and Auckland matches, was won bv J. I. King with 241 out of a possible 250. He receives a cash prize of £5 and a miniature White Horse challenge cup, which lie holds for one year. L. E. Braithwaite (Okawa) was second with 239. C. H. Gower (Wanganui), F. Bowes (Auckland City), and W. Mclvcr (Petone), each with 238, finished in that order. The Bisley Aggregate, awarded for the highest aggregate scores in the long range belt matches, was won by V. Croxton, with 196 out of 200. P. RCatley (Ohau) was runner-up with 194. The winner of the B grade aggregate, awarded for scores in all bolt matches except the final 10 shots, was F. Hiscock (Christchurch), with 422. A. W. Harris' (Auckland City), finished in second place with 416.
