Australian tennis championships, Quist beat Crawford, 6-2. 6—3, 4—6, 3—6, 9—7. . Crawford was out of touch and missed easy shots. He often appeared rattled. Quist won brilliantly. He has this season won four titles—New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and Australian championships. The women's singles final was won by Miss Joan ITartigan. who defeated Miss X. Wynne (Victoria). 6—4. 6-4. In the women's doubles final. Misses Coyne and Wynne defeated Misses Bliek and Woodward. 6—2, 6—4.
