ENOUGH FOR FIVE YEARS FRENCH STOCKS TALLIED PARIS, Jan. 25. In tho belief that the depression is passing, and the outlook brighter with the repeal of prohibition in the United States, champagne controllers carried out their stocktaking, which revealed more than 100,000,000 bottles in stock, equivalent to the world's- normal consumption for five years. In addition, cellars contain sufficient to fill another 48,000,000 bottles. The cheapening of the home price now by between 2s and 12s 6d a bottle, according to quality, is causing a steady increase in consumption.
