Tlie death has occurred of Mrs Charlotte I'errin. aged 94, an early settler in the Mangere district, who bad over 70 years residence in the Auckland Province. Mrs Perrin was born in Somerset, and arrived in New Zealand on the ship King of Italy in 1864. She met her husband on the voyage and they were married two years after settling in Auckland. They acquired a farm-holding in tlie Ihumatao district, Mangere. The death occurred at the Auckland Hospital on Friday of Mr Robert, William George Hood, aged 80, of Mai retahi, near llelensville. ' Mr Hood was found unconscious in bis cottage on Thursday. Inquiries by the police have revealed that deceased, who lived alone, fell and was injured.
