SARRAUT AS PREMIER
NEW FRENCH CABINET FOREIGN AFFAIRS POST PRO-BRITISH MINISTER / (Reed. Jan. 25, noon.) PARIS, Jan. 24. M. Albert Sarraut has formed a Cabinet with himself as Premier and Minister of the Interior. Other important portfolios have been allotted as follows:
M. Pierre Flandin, Foreign Affairs. M. Marcel Regnier, Finance. M. Maurin, War. General Denain, Air. M. Francois Pietri, Marine. M. Georges Bonnet, Commerce. M. Flandin stands for a pro-British policy. M. Regnier's appointment will reassure business people of the Government's determination to defend the franc. It is especially welcome, as the Bank of France has lost £8,000,000 worth of gold in the last three days.
