THE WEATHER To-day's North Island Report Blue skies were reported this morning at Auckland and Wellington, but overcast conditions prevailed elsewhere in the North Island. Light southerly breezes were general. The barometer had continued to rise slowlv. Last Night's forecast The second of a series of very shallow depressions is crossing the Dominion, and a third is now over the Tasrnan. Winds: Between southeast and north-east, moderate mainly but freshening at times. Seas: Rather rough in parts of Cook .Strait and on the Taranaki coast, rough between Castlepoint and East Cape with .an easterly swell, but decreasing, elsewhere slight to moderate.
